Our Journey to Freedom

Before we discovered traveling, we were living paycheck to paycheck, barely scraping by. 
The long hours, insane amount of call, and endless stress felt like a never-ending cycle. We lived for our two-day weekends (if we weren’t on call) wondering if we’d ever have the time—or the money—to actually live the life we truly wanted.

I had been a sonographer for five years before I even knew traveling was an option. The second I found out, I ran home and told my husband—who’s an IR tech—that we were going to sell our house, quit our jobs, and hit the road to do this thing called “traveling” that I had just learned about. 

We didn’t know a single travel sonographer at the time, and I fully expected him to think I had completely lost it. but instead, he said HELL YES! 

And just like that, we made a bold decision that changed our lives forever.

In 2012, we took the leap. We sold our house, packed up our lives, and stepped into the unknown. It was terrifying. It was thrilling. And it was hands-down the best decision we ever made.
